Stick, Shingle, and Arts and Crafts Style Music
These samples of music were composed by William C. Wright, father of Frank Lloyd Wright (architect of the Prairie Style), between 1870 and 1893. This was the last generation who had to rely on their own musical talents for listening pleasure in the home; the next generation would be able to hear a wide variety of music through Thomas Edison's phonograph.
